Having trouble access your Inclusive Access material?
Opting Out of Course Material on Student Portal:
Please note, you will not be able to opt out until the catalog is activated. Typically, this catalog is activated 2 weeks before the first day of classes, so this will vary from term to term (for the specific date).
Your LMS is Open
When your LMS is open all Opt decisions will take place in the Course Dashboard. You can access the Course Dashboard via your institution's Learning Management System (LMS). You can learn more about the Course Dashboard here.
Navigate to your course, then click on the link titled Course Materials to launch the Course Dashboard.
Locate the matching Item Card on the Course Dashboard
Click Want to Opt Out?.
When you elect to opt out of Inclusive Access Materials, you will receive a single survey question asking you to tell us the primary reason for opting out. Submitting a response is required. Once a reason is selected, you can confirm your Opt Out.
Your LMS is Not Open
Prior to your LMS opening, you will have the ability to Opt In and Out of your Inclusive Access materials via Standalone Launch.
At the start of a new term, you will receive a Welcome Email. At the footer of this email, you will see a list of your course materials for the term and a link to View your Inclusive Access materials list.

Clicking this link will open Standalone Launch, where you can view Item Cards for each of your IA Course Materials, as well as Opt In or Out of these materials. Note: You will not be able to access your content via Standalone Launch. You can access your content through your LMS once it opens.
Change Your Opt Preference
- Click View your Inclusive Access materials list in your Welcome Email.
- Locate the matching Item Card on Standalone Launch. Your course materials are organized by course.
- Click “Want to Opt Out?”.
When you elect to opt out of Inclusive Access Materials, you will receive a single survey question asking you to tell us the primary reason for opting out. Submitting a response is required. Once a reason is selected, you can confirm your Opt Out.
